Take That 2020!
Golf Outing was a Success!
Congratulations to EverGuard Roofing and Solar's Team One for winning the Facility Manager Association of New Mexico's 2020 Golf Outing and Scholarship Fundraiser held Friday, October 2nd at the Isleta Eagle Championship Golf Course. Close second went to B&D Industries who tied the EverGuard score but came up just short on one of the more difficult holes, this determination made by the course's official professional. TLC Plumbing and Utility came in with the third place score.
Eighty golfers participated and hit the greens in a staggered deployment, keeping in solidarity with the mandates of the Pueblo of Isleta's Covid-19 precautions. The sport of golf provides the opportunity to distance socially and the beautiful day, topping out in the low 80's with a slight breeze, provided the perfect safe backdrop for the event.
Door prize donations again rolled in and an unofficial post-play event was hosted on the open-air patio by the Stoneface Tavern where jam-packed goody bags were distributed to the happy golfers and their supporters.
"The course was in very good shape and golf was excellent and fun…..I saw many people having fun and enjoying the day. Even under social distancing and masks, etc., we visited with many golfers in our carts, six to eight feet apart, and it was still a great time," commented John Dufay, FMANM vice president and Executive Director of Operations and Maintenance for Albuquerque Public Schools.
"I noticed the logos streaming on the cart GPS units advertising our suppliers who had purchased sponsorships. The course was in really great shape! Overall a success!" added FMANM president Patrick Dyer with Presbyterian Medical Services.
THANK YOU for playing in the Oct 2 2020 Annual Scholarship Golf Fundraiser supporting the Facility Manager Association of New Mexico.
The scores are in and the winner is the EverGuard Roofing and Solar Team One! As you can see by the template below, they tied with Team B&D Industries and a close third goes to Team TLC Plumbing and Heating.
According to my course pro at Isleta Eagle Golf Course, this is how the tie was broken: Holes are ranked from hardest to easiest on the scorecard. Start with the hardest hole and compare scores. If there is a tie on that hole, move to the next hardest hole and so on and so on until one team finally has a better score on an individual hole. EverGuard and B&D tied each other on the first and second ranked holes. On the third hardest hole, Team EverGuard shot a birdie and Team B&D was par. This is where Team EverGuard won in the playoff.
