Purpose of Hiland Facilities Manager Role:

The Hiland Facilities Manager is responsible for all areas of the Hiland facility including the security, maintenance, and upkeep of the facility and its grounds. The Hiland Facilities Manager works directly with the Director of Finance and Administration in all daily operations, such as appropriate supply inventories, and coordination of all preventative maintenance, updating of the Facility Manual, and the annual Facility budget, and in coordination with the Dance Barns Building Manager. The Hiland Facilities Manager is part of NDI New Mexicos administrative staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintenance

  • Procures maintenance, janitorial and all other facility related supplies
  • Ensures Safety and Security by managing security doors, security and keying software, assignment and management of card keys, burglar alarm software, cameras and codes
  • Coordinates HVACschedule and maintenance
  • Schedules Fire Alarm inspection & maintenance
  • Provides Event support
  • Conducts repairs, improvements and maintenance of all existing facility equipment and building
  • Oversees facility and grounds custodial duties, including OSHA Safety Records Retention and MSDS Data Books in supply closets

Financial

  • Works with the Director of Fianance and Administration to prepare an annual Facility Operating Budget
  • Maintains an up-to-date Facility Manual and maintenance schedule
  • Maintains a perpetual supply inventory

Other

  • Cross trains with and supports Technical Director
  • Becomes familiar with all equipment maintenance and repair
  • Provides assistance and support to any Building vendor regarding any items attached to the building
  • Other duties as required

Working Conditions, Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Functions performed in a variety of environments including: NDI New Mexico offices, schools, residency sites, and other locations
  • Requires reliable transportation and reimbursable in-state travel to NDI New Mexico locations, participating schools, residency sites, and community events
  • Requires weekend and evening hours
  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.

May be required to navigate stairs

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Job Specific Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivilant GED
  • Requires 1-3 years in job related duties including facility management
  • Safety management experience
  • Excellent time management and people skills
  • Solves problems by identifying causes, gathering and processing relevant information, generating possible solutions, making recommendations, and resolving problems
